The Rules of Revision (EBOOK)
The Rules of Revision (EBOOK)
Series: Nonfiction
We've all heard of the rules—one point of view per scene; show, don't tell; make your characters three-dimensional. But why do these rules exist? And when you're deep in revisions, how can they help?
USA Today bestselling author, writing instructor, and professional copy editor Shelley Adina Senft Bates, PhD, explains what the rules mean for the art of revision, and how to put them to work in the service of your book. From deep character checks and changes to the scene outline to the finish work that makes reviewers swoon, this little ebook guide can help you polish your novel to a shine.
Vision. Revision. Revelation.
